Roatan Dolphin Encounter, Sloths & Monkeys and City Tour

 Your Dolphin Encounter begins as you travel across the resort’s lagoon to Bailey’s Key, the private home to a large family of Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins.

At a beach-front cabana, a brief orientation will be given, and then you’ll walk along a white sandy beach to wade waist-deep into the gin-clear waters of the Caribbean where a trained naturalist will give you a personal introduction to a resident dolphin.  The trainer will describe the dolphins’ characteristics, anatomy, and behaviors and will give you the opportunity to touch, kiss and play with a member of this friendly family of marine mammals.

The encounter programs consist of thirty-minute activity in which you will be in the water waist-deep with a dolphin and a trainer. This is a hand on interaction with the dolphins where you will have an opportunity to touch, kiss and learn about them. The dolphin will also perform different behaviors such as jumps, tail walks, etc… During the first twenty minutes of the encounter, we will have professional photographers from the hotel taking pictures of the participants getting a hug and kiss, which can be purchased at an extra charge after the activity(pictures are optional), during the last ten minutes all participants are given the chance to take pictures with their personal camera.

After or before (base on time selected) our dolphin encounter experience, it’s time to enjoy another wildlife adventure with sloths, capuchin monkeys, parrots, macaws and more mammals at the eco-park (This is optional) . Local shopping at the best local souvenir stores, sightseeing on the west side of the island is included, some of the communities: Sandy Bay, Coxen Hole, West End.

Chocolate and Rum & Cake tasting are included on this tour, we will take you to those little factories to learn about the cocoa and local rum process, you will have the opportunity to purchase your favorite products. Stops for photos are also available, one of our favorite stops is the Roatan color sign for group photos with an impressive ocean view.

-Personal cameras are permitted during your encounter
-Professional photos taken will be available for sale at the gift shop following the encounter
-Ages 3-13 must be accompanied by a paying adult
-Children under 3 years of age are free of charge and may participate while being held by a paying adult
