This is a unique guided small group experience designed to introduce you to authentic Rotanean food and maximize your fun during your visit to Roatan tropical island.
When visitors arrive we provide them with a brief but very informative tour about cocoa, its roots in the Mayan civilization of Mesoamerica, its multiple health benefits, and its use as a raw material in the production of chocolate. Here you will learn all about the process of making this tasty food, from the fermentation and drying of cocoa to the grinding and mixing, up until the final product is created and wrapped into its different presentations. And if that were not enough, at the end of the tour, everyone can enjoy a taste of our wide range of handmade chocolates, on the house.
After we will pass by the famous “Rusty Fish” to view/purchase incredible recycle products. Our guide will escort you to the Rum & Cake factory for another unique local tasting experience with delicious cake samples. On our way back we will stop at the Roatan color sign for group/family fun photos and selfies, woohoo!
